BACKGROUND

In early 2009, The Writers of the Far South Coast set an exercise to write some short plays on the theme of "inheritance". Five of the plays were shortlisted for a workshop by Footprint Theatre in November 2009.

In a further collaboration between local theatre groups, a sixth short play directed and performed by members of Theatre Onset in Bega.

Cast members performed a series of improvised pieces between the plays. Audience favourites included: "on the bus to Eden", "woodcarving in Russia" and "an heirloom piano on a boat".
