Ironbark - An evening with Banjo Paterson

A rollicking evening of entertainment that brings Banjo Paterson's verse alive in drama, verse and song

Cast and Crew
Cast and crew of Ironbark.
Back (L-R): Steve Wilson, Gerry Corcoran, Phil Cheek, Peter O'Brien, Karl Auer
Front (L-R): Robert Buck, Anna Auer, Cooper Yeoman, John Samuels, Kerry Hynes, Hugo White

Is the show suitable for children?

The dialogue is based on the poetry and songs of Banjo Paterson, so if you have no problem reading any of his poems to your kids, you probably won't mind them seeing the show. The only scene that might cause concern to parents of young children is the dramatisation of "The Man From Ironbark", when the barber pretends to slash the throat of his customer as a joke. The customer gets a bit upset at this, swears in good old 19th century style and knocks the barber out (the barber comes to shortly after!). This scene occurs halfway through Act 1.

How long is the show?
Our full show is 80 minutes with 1 interval.

The Cobargo show will be slightly shorter to fit the timeslot.
