Footprint Theatre first performed the short play SLOW DATING by Adam Szudrich in Week 1 of the Canberra Short+Sweet Play Festival 9-12 August 2016 at the Canberra Theatre Centre.
SLOW DATING was selected as a finalist from the Week 1 plays (2nd Judges’ choice) and was performed on Saturday 20 August 2016 at the Gala Final. Penelope Hunt was the runner up Best Actor for the 2016 Canberra Short+Sweet Festival.
SLOW DATING is a delicious 10 minute monologue featuring Penelope Hunt as ‘Ester’ – a 70-something self-confessed happily married woman who goes to a Speed Dating event for Seniors for ‘a little look-see’. Directed by Lis Shelley, SLOW DATING is Footprint Theatre’s third successful Short+Sweet festival ITC entry.
SLOW DATING was also performed on 18 & 19 November 2016 in the Bega Valley as part of the Cabaret of the Cow at Candelo Town Hall.
